Please note that our silk sleeping bag liners are made with a more expensive satin silk - some silks are not as soft as others. You will be able to feel the difference. If you enjoy having natural fibres next to your skin, and want to sleep in pure silk, then do not compromise on the quality.

A lightweight traveller for Motels and the Tropics

A pure silk sleeping bag liner is lightweight (about 5 ounces / 160 grams), great for traveling in the tropics (when the bugs are biting) or as BYO bed linen for short visits. The liners come with a stuff bag included. Available in blue, natural cream, red, purple and green. Silk sleeping bag liners will keep you warm and cosy at night and your sleeping bag nice and clean. It's an essential item for all backpackers, campers, hikers, trampers and travelers.

The liners are lightweight at about 5 ounces (160 grams), and fold up tight in their own little stuff bag. A silk sleeping bag liner is light enough for everyone to carry while traveling or hiking. While you may find other brands lighter than ours, we do not recommend a lighter silk as they do lose strength and will not last. Our liners are pure satin silk, with the softer finish.

There is no real benefit in using a mummy liner to save less than one ounce. A rectangular silk sleeping bag liner is far more versatile and is completely unnoticeable in a mummy bag as the silk is so slick that it moves well with you regardless the size of your sleeping bag. We have found that's best to have a generous sized bag liner for not only maximum comfort, but also maximum longevity - it's too easy to push out the seams of a mummy bag during the early morning stretch.

Silk is a very delicate fabric and your silk sleeping bag liners can be easily damaged by washing with harsh detergents or harsh wash cycles. Please be gentle. You can machine wash it, but please do them separately so they don't snag on other clothes. Use a mild detergent and NO bleach, on the most delicate setting. Wash your sleeping bag liner before use. Or hand wash with mild soap - dishwashing liquid, shampoo or a bar of soap is fine. Lay flat or hang to dry - dries fast. Do not tumble dry.
